Our bestseller the totebag became a personal and sustainable farewell gift. Ilse Visser left her company - the Undutchables - after 25 years, which she did with a good party and a very special gift for her team. As Ilse is a sailor, has a green heart and is a real Amsterdamer, she approached us to create a bag with their recognizable orange logo and navy straps. In combination that fully represents the Undutchables DNA. Additionally Ilse brought our common mate Veronika from V@theCity on board, who is creating pillows with an Amsterdam design to show her roots to her international team. V@theCity pillows are produced with respect for nature and humans. Production is done is a selected place in Belgium and the filling is mad of textile waste.
Besides the product story there is a nice story about Anna from SAILMATE, Veronika and Ilse as we all met during a sustainable start-up program lead by Impact HUB. We shaped our social and sustainable businesses during that time together, but would have never expected that this would lead to a collaboration so soon, so suitable and so unique.
The Undutchables is a recruiting agency for internationals. They started in Amsterdam and are now operating in Rotterdam and Stockholm. Ilse Visser is their former CEO, who also founded the company 25 years ago. A long time and a success story but still Ilse decided to step out of the company last year. She wanted to make room for new people to drive the Undutchables further and to give herself room to work on her new business ideas. A very brave step that shows her entrepreneurial DNA.
